3 teens hurt in high-speed crash
911

Three teenagers were rushed to the hospital after the car they were in slammed into a tree early Thursday morning.

Officials said the driver was speeding when he lost control, crashed through a fence and then wrapped the car around a tree at about 12:30 a.m.

Neighbors in the area near the intersection of SE 25th Way and Beaver Lake Way SE called 911 when they heard the loud crash.

King County sheriff's Sgt. Joe Tracy said one of the boys was able to get out of the car, but two others were trapped in the mangled wreck.

"Eastside Fire and Rescue responded and was able to use the jaws of life to get the other two individuals out of the car," he said.

All three boys were taken to a hospital but were expected to survive.

Investigators said they do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
